Many of our clients rely upon their monthly investment income to supplement their social security and pensions.  Income is our name, so we work very hard to develop a consistent monthly income from their investments in the form of interest and dividends.  "Send me a check" is the request we hear most often. Dividend distributions are not guaranteed and can be reduced or interrupted by a company's financial conditions with little or no prior notice.

We recommend keeping 20% of the client's money in cash to allow clients to take advantage of potential trading profits when the opportunity arises. We considered this a better strategy than committing all of your money to long-term mutual fund portfolios.

Some prefer to preserve their capital with a focus in bonds.  We search for discounted US Government bonds to satisfy this need. Bonds are subject to interest rate risk that may cause the value of bonds to decline as interest rates rise, market risk that may result in decreased demand and lower valuations, liquidity risk that may cause the sale of some bonds to be delayed, and default risk that may affect a bond's credit rating and cause the value to decline.
